Power Cables

Our factory produces a wide range of high-voltage power cables (6-35 kV) with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation.

Power cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation offer several advantages compared to cables with paper insulation or PVC insulation. XLPE-insulated cables have high electrical and mechanical properties, withstand high temperatures, and exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion and environmental factors. They have a simple structure and are easy to use. These cables can operate for extended periods even at temperatures up to 90°C, which is a strong performance indicator.

Cross-linking is the process of bonding molecular chains into a wide-mesh, three-dimensional network by forming cross-links.

These cross-links improve the temperature characteristics of the base polymer.

Cross-linked polyethylene has outstanding dielectric properties, making it indispensable for producing power cables with voltages up to 550 kV. It has become the main alternative to PVC insulation.

There are two main technologies for producing XLPE-insulated cables: peroxide and silane methods.

Our factory uses the most promising method, peroxide cross-linking of polyethylene.
